Turnberry Ocean Club Residences, the all-glass 54-story tower in Sunny Isles, has announced that it has obtained a Certificate of Occupancy.

The all-glass tower is 649 feet above sea level, equal in height to the tallest completed buildings on the ocean but surpassed by the under-construction Estates at Acqualina towers in Sunny Isles.

The tower includes Miami’s first residential floating sky pools. Two infinity cantilevered pools appear to float in the air from the 30th level, when seen from the ground-level at either the beach or Collins Avenue.

A total of 154 condos were built, and records show that 82 closings of those units have been recorded since late 2020 (records often lag, so the true number is likely higher). The developer says they have seen a surge in sales recently, and over 80% of units have been sold.

The project includes 70,000 square feet and six floors of amenities- including three resident-only restaurants, beach side cabanas with roof deck terraces, summer kitchens and hydrotherapy spas as well as onsite guest suites with complete hotel-like service that can be booked for relatives and friends of residents.

Buyers of units are also given memberships to the Fontainebleau Aviation Facility, Turnberry Marina and the Turnberry Isle Resort & Country Club.

Staff of the building will be trained to address residents by name, Turnberry says.

Carlos Zapata and Robert Swedroe designed the tower.

Jeffrey Soffer is the developer.
